Loan worth Rs 850 cr sanctioned under Agri Infra Fund to 545 applications

New Delhi, Jul 22 (INB) Loan worth Rs 850 crore have been sanctioned under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to 545 applications till June, union minister for fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy Rajiv Ranjan Singh said on Tuesday.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) mobilizes medium-to-long-term debt financing for investment in viable projects relating to post-harvest management infrastructure and viable farming assets.
“As on June 30, 2025, under AIF scheme, support has been given for the project Organic inputs production to 545 applications with loan sanctioned amount of Rs 850 crore,” Singh said in Lok Sabha.
Organic farmers, FPOs, PACS, and agri-entrepreneurs can avail loans for setting up infrastructure like warehouses, cold stores, sorting oor the grading units, and primary processing centers, which are crucial for organic value chains, from 2020-21.
