Samsung expanding manufacturing of devices in India: IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw


New Delhi, Aug 16 (INB) Electronics company Samsung continues to expand manufacturing in India, union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on social media platform X.
Samsung makes television, consumer durables and mobile phones in India.
“Samsung continues to expand manufacturing of its advanced technology devices in Bharat, driven by talent and innovation. Its research unit in Bharat has more than 7,000 engineers,” Vaishnaw said on X.
The minister shared a photo of his meeting with Samsung Southwest Asia, President and CEO, JB Park and Samsung Southwest Asia, Corporate Vice President, SP Chun.
Samsung has its second largest mobile phone manufacturing unit at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
The company makes displays at its Greater Noida plant as well.
