Those acting against Hindu temple getting awarded ministership in Puducherry, alleges Congress
New Delhi Jul 23 (INB) Puducherry Congress Party unit has alleged involvement of minister and official under current NDA ally led All India NR Congress government in multiple temple land grabbing cases.
During a press conference at Congress headquarters in Delhi, Puducherry MP and union territory’s Congress unit President V Vaithilingam alleged those who are acting against the interest of Hindu are being awarded ministerial berths in the NDA ally led All India NR Congress government.
He said MLA Johnkumar purchased a temple land with forged documents and the temple authority registered a case against him, which was not filed in the police station, and they have gone to the court,
“The Kamatchiamman Kovil trustee went to the court and got the orders that the MLA should surrender the temple land to the temple authority.
“He (Johnkumar) surrendered the temple land and he filed a case in local court, but it was not given in favour of Johnkumar. What happened today, who purchased a temple land and orders were issued against Johnkumar, now, he is a minister in the present government…those who are doing against the Hindu temple property, they are given the award of ministership. This is happening in Puducherry,” Vaithilingam alleged.
Former chief minister of Puducherry V Narayanasamy alleged that Johnkumar MLA and his son, who is also an MLA, created four bogus documents.
“When the issue came up the Kamatchiamman temple authorities filed a complaint, a case was registered by CB-CID (Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department) and the case was not progressing. Therefore, the temple authorities, Kamatchiamman temple authorities went to court and the court gave a direction,” Narayanasamy alleged.
He said that the court ordered a criminal investigation against them on the basis of the CB-CID case pending in Puducherry.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party is says on the platform that they are for Hindus. They want Hinduism to thrive, they want temples to be protected, they want temple properties to be protected. Today, what is happening in Puducherry, the temple properties are being grabbed by BJP MLAs and the BJP for grabbing those properties,” Narayanasamy alleged.
He alleged BJP is following fake Hindutva.
“They are not really for Hindus. If they are sincere, if they are honest in protecting Hinduism, Hindu temples, Hindu temple properties, why have they appointed a person who has been involved in temple land grabbing as a minister?” Narayanasamy questioned.
Vaithilingam alleged that the Deputy Collector of the Karaikal district himself is engaged in selling a property with the support of the revenue people saying that he will give a free Patta for them.
“He collected the money and gave pattas to the people. Now, they have arrested the Deputy Collector and the Revenue people, but, they are not arresting the local political people, those who are supporting them and those who are giving full benefit to the people, that is the charges against them,” Vaithilingam alleged.
