New Delhi, Jul 26 (INB) Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 for admission into post graduate programs of 22 Indian Institutes of Management will be held on November 29 across approximately 170 cities, an official notification said on Sunday.
The registration for the test will open at 10 AM on August 3 and close by 5 PM on September 15.
“The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct a computer-based Common Admission Test 2026 on November 29, 2026 in three sessions. The CAT 2026 registration window opens at 10.00 AM. on August 3, 2026 and will close at 5 PM on September 15, 2026,” the notice published on the official website said.
SC, ST and PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates will have to pay Rs 1,350 and others will have to pay Rs 2,700 for the registration.
A candidate needs to pay the registration fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes the applicant is applying for.
SC, ST and PwBD candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwBD certificates at the time of registration. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances, the notice said.
As per the legal requirements, 15 per cent of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5 per cent for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27 per cent for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “NonCreamy” layer (NC-OBC), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates and 5 per cent for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA [45 per cent in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution.
The candidates can download the admit cards from November 4, 2026 until November 29, 2026.
Candidate’s CAT 2026 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website. Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the First week of January, 2027. The CAT 2026 score is valid only till December 31, 2027 and will accordingly be accessible on the website.
