NTA invites applications for AIAPGET 2026; exam on September 22


New Delhi, Jul 10 (INB) The National Testing Agency invited online applications for the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 for admission to postgraduate AYUSH courses across the country, an official notification said on Friday.
The entrance examination will be conducted on September 22, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for admission to MD/MS postgraduate programmes in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy for the 2026-27 academic session.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA) notification, the online application process will remain open from July 10 to July 30, 2026 (up to 9 pm), while the last date for payment of the examination fee is July 30 (up to 11:59 pm). Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms between August 1 and August 2, 2026.
The advance city intimation slip and admit cards will be issued later through the official website. The examination will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions carrying a maximum of 480 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes.
The test will be held in nearly 122 cities across India. The medium of the examination will be English and Hindi for Ayurveda, English only for Homoeopathy, and Urdu, English and Hindi for Unani, while the Siddha paper will be available in Tamil and English.
NTA said candidates must submit applications only through the official AIAPGET portal after ensuring they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions. The agency has also introduced Aadhaar-based authentication, live photograph capture during application submission, and mandatory UDID verification for PwD/PwBD candidates claiming reservation to strengthen the examination process.
The agency advised candidates to keep their registered email ID and mobile number active, upload photographs and signatures in the prescribed format, and complete the application well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
